Western Feng-shui
The Chinese word « Feng-shui » literally means «wind and water ». It defines a precious and mystical practice from China that has been used for thousands of years.
The integration of the most important principles of Eastern Feng-shui towards the West has been carefully studied in order to respect the strict rules of this discipline – while still integrating these same principles into the culture and symbolism of the west.
As such, the adaptation into a Western environment of the Eastern Feng-shui practices and rules will create a new equilibrium of Yin and Yang energy as well as a certain harmony of the éléments : earth, fire, air, water, metal that make up the physical universe we live in.

In the symbolism of Feng-shui, water and fire are considered the most important elements as they are the source of life, wisdom and richness.
We can easily comprehend the importance of water in its biological implications and the necessity of water in the birth of all life forms. We can also perceive that water connects, crystallizes and can bring great stability, it can be a port of arrival or anchorage for all social relationships.
The objective of my artistic and symbolic pursuit of the water element is to truly restore all the magical energy back to the water element.
